39 hour week

Hi all,
In our office full timers work 7am to 3pm and loose the 1 hour by starting at 7.30am on a tuesday, and finishing at 2.30pm on saturday ,which means that if your day off falls on a tuesday you come in at 7.30 monday and if it falls on a saturday you come in at 7.30 monday and tuesday can get a bit confusing at times, could be made easier if we started at 7.12 am every day i suppose
just wondering how other offices manage their 39 hours and if there is a better solution, :wave

we went the other way - kept the start times as they were pre-39 hours, but knocked off 12 minutes at the end of the day.

We do it even better - come in at start time and p!ss-off 0.5 to 1.5 hours early. Unfortunately doesn't work for us PT's. :sad:

same here, we tried to get as far away from a 3pm finish...one of the ways was saying that down to child care issues and school pick ups 3pm couldn't happen.

Our start time is the same each day. Finish times differ.
Full-timers work more than 8 hours Weds, Thurs and Fri.
Earlier finish Monday (less 'Signed For'/Specials and parcels, most Bank Holidays fall on Mondays)
Earlier finish Tuesday (quiet day)
Earlier finish Saturday (most posties start in their own time & work without a break!)

Our work hours suit the DOM & RM rather than the workload :roll:

our full timers never do 39 hours. part of the business problem i suppose.
