What are reserves entitled to?

Hi all
IM just putting this up to find outwhat reserves are actually entitled to at work eg 1 in 6, change of days the day before without notice, Just basic rules thet we are not getting as I have to go into our useless office as us reserves are getting so fed up of being constantly messed about at last minute.
the only female reserve gets alot of saturdays offs, has easy 2 hour round, is also in a relationship with a manager so really is getting it easy,
The reserves are getting fed up we had to fight recently for our 1 in 6 and now are being threatened with it getting removed as the rounds cannot be covered, our 1 in 6 are not guaranteed as they move our weekends off with no notice apart from the rounds going on the board saturday afternoon and if you query it you get told they go up on thursdays, so I keep pictures on the Saturday morning as proof
Please any help would be appreciated as to what we really are entitled to
I did post this in the union forum but onlygot advice with the 1 in 6 but I want to know what else I should be entitled also due to having a child who is in a nursery and they keep trying to mess me about

its difficult but you cant do a lot. but a postie in a relationshipnwith her manager ... hmmm I don't think that's allowed in the same office is it?

just make your managers life hell. come in on time, leave on time, have your break etc.

I haven't had a Saturday off in 2years...
The manager situation may be seen as a conflict of interest.

I don't really understand this, if your DO does not have fixed days off, you just have a different day off each week, with a long weekend off every 6 weeks. If you've got a rep ask him why you are being messed about, if not satisfied get in touch with Area rep.

applying for own walk when the vacancy come up, but it work on seniority rules. SO you probably need 15 years to get it or a walk that no one want.

Is seniority the only factor? A guy at our office was told he couldn't have his own round as he 'knew too many'

sort of, equalities act could play apart as well, but the "you know too many rounds" excuse is a no no

We only use seniority for picking deliveries, unless special tasks involved. But normal pick of vacant duties is done by seniority.

If your office does not run on fixed days off, then everyone is treated the same. We treat everyone the same in our office whether reserve or duty holder. Only seems fair to me.

Not quite, no rule or agreement on that, only agreement is for 1 in 6 or 1 in 4 depending on duty pattern Saturdays off, the Monday is not specified so you won't necessarily get a long weekend off

My job was advertised as working every Saturday, so i guess that rules out any rights for me to get a Saturday off? I will check my contract....
