Done nearly 10 years without my own Delivery, I would rather clean the
Bogs than Deliver that Rubbish.

My union man says the union are encouraging and telling posties to deliver it, even though we're not getting any extra for it.

There is something written somewhere about being able to refuse this particular item due to personal or moral objectives.
Not much help sorry but I was told this by my DOM.

If you work in a supermarket for example you can't choose what to sell and what not to sell. This moral stance nonsense is just an excuse for lazyness.

Thing is that soon as cut off time comes I will go back to the office

there is a new LTB out that states because the union agree to the delivery of the S**, anyone who refuses to deliver it will get taken down the conduct code as not delivering the item amounts to willful delay.

my DOM told me this this morning as I had advised him earlier this week that I would not be delivering it, so I will be phoning in sick on Thursday Morning.

also if whole offices walk out over the delivery etc then they would be in breach of the agreement that was signed by the CWU that means we can't hold unofficial strike action anymore.

for the record I voted NO, but as we know, the mail centres et al have more members than us delivery bods so we lose out again so they can have their £££'s and we get the sh1tty end of the stick

I have not been sent the LTB yet ( as it's saturday ), but as soon as I do I will post it unless someone beats me to it.


this also means that in future, the delivery of BNP leaflets will have to be delivered by everyone, there will no longer be an opt out for anyone, not even our Asian / black / Chinese colleagues etc.

Stupid. In Supermarkets people go in to buy what they choose. Customers don't choose what we give them. I Wont touch that paper after Hillsborough.
