There are motorised HCTs but I don't know if any are still in use.
When they break down you need a recovery vehicle to go and retrieve them due to their weight.
And they did break down quite often mainly because they aren't made for use outside in the rain.

I'm thinkin, as I may have to work till I'm 70, I could get a couple of panniers and a basket, to go on a mobility scooter.
