just an observation with regard to the box scanning on collections on s/a .its laughable,if some collections are unable to be scanned for a number of of reasons,mainly due to the scanners freezing or no signal etc etc,you have to explain why they were not scanned.on Saturdays tha boxes on a number of rural deliveries are scanned and cleared,but the mail goes nowhere as we miss the lorry as it goes at 12,nothings said or done,what a service that is???.you would think the lorry time dispatch would connect with all the deliveries on return so mail collected would be picked up?

if the mail is missing the collecting lorry on a saturday then email moya about it, we did in our office and result was an extra 2 posties were employed on a saturday only contract just to do box collections, if the collections as missing the lorry they should be being reported by the DOM every time and i guaruntee thats not happening as he and his area manager would be getting in deep trouble if it was happening week in week out

And what's with delivery now having to scan every single box every single day!!!? It's a complete waste of time! The mail collected is returned to the office and then picked up by the afternoon collection driver! I have not been able to get a straight answer from my dom, then again I never seem to get an answer just a huge pile of steaming bull shhhhhht

So turning that argument around why would you not want to scan the boxes every time you empty them, it keeps extra work in the delivery office, it may add extra time to your delivery but so what just cut off at the end of your duty of you dont want over time, by scanning the boxes every time its helping to protect jobs in your office

As for PDAs freezing/crashing on SA you are supposed to take out a spare PDA (if there are any )
