What is the difference 1 . A duty who's mail is not bad for the day and gets off the sorting early and gets outdoors early hence getting finished a good few minutes before there time . 2, a duty who has a busy enough day finishes on there time . 3. A duty who can see they are not gonna manage to do the job on time due to heavy mail ,new partner etcx ,then tells the Lino they will be leaving some mail and just want to do there hours for day. Number 3 comes back and is told that they will be be kept in the office for the whole of there meal break . Numbers 1 and 2 free to go home when back . Is there an agreement that this is the official case?..because this is what is happening in our office. Any real info guys because a lot of guys are at very pissed off at our place regards favouritism etcx .

they cannot keep you inside for your meal break as, by law, you are entitled to take it where you wish. Take it and come back to sign out.

As posted in your other thread, the way forward agreement specifically states if you are taking part of your meal relief at end of your hours, you do not need to stay in the office soley for the purpose of signing out, so they cannot force you to stay in the office for the last part of your meal relief

Also it specifically states that you cannot take your full meal relief at the end of your duty so you can only take 20 minutes at the end if your full time the rest must be taken at some point during your duty

never mind the favouritism, just insist on the existing national agreements being implemented correctly

THINK their getting at a few points that happen in our office
why should individuals
1. be allowed to start early to enable early finish and NOT return to office
2. allowed to NOT take any break to assist early finish and non return to office
3.do NOT need to attend huddles before delivery as they get a personal one from mgmt to enable non return to office and early finish
4 unbelievably they hand over tracked ,specials,packets all 739s etc and pda to pt duty who return it to office for them
5 all p&l must return to office who then prep in d2ds while their partners are dropped off at their doors over an hour early without taking any extra mail from driver.
6rural drivers can start !/2hour 1 hr and some even 2hrs early free to enable early finish without return to office or taking breaks ,dont know what they do with their tracked pdas etc ,must take them home or leave in van o-night
and when we pass by their door on return to office van sitting finished for day at 2pm when duty supposedly lasts until 3.30pm

Get your rep involved and even take to Area about the unfair workloads and job and knock,if you are held back put in a B/H against the manager and then you will see some changes
