When we are past our time hours wise nothings said,,,but if we want to do just our hours for that day ,,,all hell breaks loose!,been over my time all week today Friday, went up to Lino I need to work to my time today. You can't,,and then he said if you have to leave some pkts ,you will have to sit you're meal relief break in the office when you come back too.. So it's ok to be well past you're time but the minute you want to just do you're hours,,. . Staff noticing on there payslips there overtime keeps getting amended too .

Job & Knock finished - you have to be prepared to work All your hours but they cannot force anyone to work beyond their contracted hours of employment. "Are you prepared to stay out" . "No" You do not have to supply a reason. Time for the Dom to get his Nikes out and get the Deep heat ready for his back.

It's always the same... the other week people who were willing to go over were informing the DOM that they may be going about 1.30-2 hours extended and he didn't have a problem at all, when I said I was working my time he said he would take 1 loop (less than 20 minutes work) off me, that way ''I should have no trouble completing''

Your managers are bell ends, simple as that. Ours expects a bit of flexibility when it's busy, as when it's light if we finish early we go home early. But if anyone needs to finish on time any particular day there isn't a problem with it.

Just hit him back with that you don't need to stay in office if taking break at end soley for purpose of signing out, its part of way forward agreement,

Making a employee take a break at the start and the end of a shift is illegal. See the working time directive.

Tell him the day after your taking your break half way through delivery,but your gonna come back to the office to take it travelling in there time

Quite a good idea that, as you may have Special Delivery items that you won't be able to deliver before 1 pm unless you make a detour, costing yet more time and requiring you to have even more relief bags

shouldnt be taking the whole break at the end just 20 minutes of it, and there was an announcement and a national agreement on it, it was the way forward agreement in black and white

Where an attendance is provided with more than one break, the second break may be scheduled at the beginning or end, in which case attendance is not required solely for booking on or off. A single break should not be scheduled at the beginning or end of the attendance.

I can't get my head round the fact we have to have a 20 min break b4 we go out(no more than that apparently)....and then 20 mins at the end....but who wants to have a break at the end of his or hers duty.....surely it makes more sense to have a break say half way round your delivery.....after I have done 4 or so loops(my loops involve steps/steps and more fooking steps)....I could do with a break.....but my driver who rushes around like a lunatic....gets rather irate when I have any break...in fact he and a postie who covered my loops last weekend ended up going into the DOMs office arguing over having a break at all.....the driver apparently wanted to get back for the footy....and the DOM agreed with him....asking the other lad to take a 10 min break instead....he refused...took his 20 min break....lol.....is this what managers/planners want.....staff arguing and nearly fighting over meal breaks?(suppose they think it's a cheap way to get rid of staff)?
