Postal deliveries to change in North Birmingham in Royal Mail shake-up

Postal routes and delivery times are to be completely revised in Great Barr and Perry Barr as Royal Mail presses ahead with its on-going programme of transformation.

The company has gone back to the drawing board on its routes in the B42, B43 and B44 areas, and over the next few weeks changes will be introduced.

The new routes, which have taken new housing developments into account, mean households and businesses could see their mail delivered at a new time – although Royal Mail insist most people will continue to receive post before lunch time. Royal Mail staff will also use a combination of vans and trolleys to deliver letters and the growing numbers of parcels to customers.

Royal Mail will also be writing to every address about the changes it is making.
