I am new to this game just 3 weeks in the question I have to ask is there any future in working for rm?

I think as much as any other job in the present climate. Prob more protection if you join the CWU. :wink:

I have joined the union and the pension it seems hard to get full time work at the moment as a working class person

It is a very secure job as long you work hard but it is not a very good career. If you have the time and energy and brain for it, try to do evening classes to improve your future. There are better and worse job than being a post delivery person.

depends are you on 30 hrs a week or 20 or 6 ?

I think direct delivery by TNT and the increased competition on parcel delivery is going to hit RM a lot harder and faster than it had previously thought or at least let on. I wouldn't want to be relying on RM to provide me with a job for more than another 10 years, less if i worked in a larger city.

that doesn't sound so good then although if I could get 10 years out of it that would be fine we shall see, shame these other companies don't have to deliver everywhere

Terry its a job mate I said this 27 years ago when I first started OK am full time because I got in when there was full time jobs stick to it better then walk in the streets get it ha :whistle :whistle

It seems to be going ok at the moment even my first week got 7 hours in over contract 14 last week so seems plenty of work fingers crossed that it lasts lol
