Being moved to another Delivery - Help Please

I am what we call a float in our Delivery Office, I cover 5 different duties per week allowing
People to have there rotational days off. This is my signed for duty.
Every now and then I would swap duties to help out to get the rounds covered in our office
due to sickness holidays etc. Some people will work there day off on there own duty and I
would move from my designated Duty, I have been more than helpful in this.
But since the revision this seems to be becoming more and more.
And now its seems to be compulsory to move, So people can get overtime
covering there own duties and hence I get moved.

If there is overtime on a delivery round surely the people willing to do overtime, should cover the
round that is going spare, Not keep moving me all of the time for no valid reason.

Last week I offered to move delivery to help and said I would be willing to cover half the
duty I moved from to have some overtime and help etc.
But guess what?
I moved from my delivery and then a person worked there day off
on there own delivery as overtime and done the delivery I moved from as well.
2 deliveries at 16 hours and I lost out on my half delivery overtime. What A Mug I am !
There was no reason for this.

I have been asked to move from my designated delivery
again tomorrow for a similar reason, I have said No, As there is no valid reason for this
just so someone can get overtime on there own delivery - They Should do the delivery
on which the overtime is available, and if they don't want to do it - don't work your day
off etc.

I am refusing to deliver any round that is not the round I am due to do, And could be
going down the conduct code, But I need to make this stand, As there is too many of
the same old people getting everything they want in our delivery office, and the same
old usual get the poke in the eye etc. Diversity Indeed. I understand when everything
goes wrong at the last minute be a team player, But not all the time not like this.

What is your views on this matter please and should I make the stand and say NO!

P.S I have ten years service and no permanent delivery round due to new part timers
getting all the rounds.

Yes say no feck them prob shi@ scared to do another duty for overtime just say am stayin on me duty . they seem don't give feck about u so do the same

Your right, I am, And I am going to recommend that they put me in charge of Diversity.
As Indirect Bullying and harassment has gone through the Roof in our Delivery Office.
Must something to do with 27 stranded hours in our office since our revision which will
increase further soon in the new financial year for sure. No Mr Nice Guy Can We create a new union

I use to like doing overtime myself and I didn't give a monkeys what round it was, NO MORE You WAIT till the employee Survey !!!! They will get it !!

im in the same boat,,,im a floater signed for at the p&l revision 6 months ago,,,,,they have tried,,,or sorry asked me if I would go on another walk that is not part of my float,,,,,as they said due to operational needs as I can drive and they were a driver short,,,,,,,each time they've asked me they wanted to replace me on my signed duty with a driver LOL soooo I pointed out they aint short of a driver,,,,each time they've moved a spare.
I have asked an they need to give me 48hrs notice to move a duty

lets put the boot on the other foot,,,,,tell them u wanna work your day off and will need to move 1 of your 5 walk holders so you can get a day off worked LOL

Who made this bs ruling of making so many duty holders part time? what incentive is there to be full time if your part time with a duty! a lifetime as a reserve or floater? Seriously you would need to kill people with years in to have a duty, seniority counts for feck all these days.

if people want to earn more money on overtime, then they should do whatever duty the manager have, not to expect reserve/floating cover postman to give way without his/her blessing. It is not fair on us.

In my experience its not the manager who is entirely at fault here but your fellow colleagues who will point blank refuse to work their day off unless it is on their own duty. Its up to them to b fair and do a different duty one day a wek if they want extra money but they know the manager will do everything possible to suit them if it means they work it sadly.

I know someone who threatened to go home 'as they were no longer needed' when told that the duty holder was insisting on working that duty on overtime.

Duty holder was quickly told that they had to do a different job if they wanted the overtime that day.
