Hi all, i was asked to work my day off next week on friday, i said i would but now i've changed my mind and want to take my day off, can i still cancel it or is it too late?

Tell them at the first opportunity on Monday to give them as much time as possible to make alternative arrangements.
It is still your day off. They can't stop you from taking it. It may put you on the s**t list though.
Tell them the Mrs arranged something without telling you and you can't get out of it. Be apologetic.

Just don't turn up that will annoy them more
