Been off work due to a twisted ankle and i have already seen my doc. She signed me off for a further week.

Anyway, got a letter today to attend an interview. It is weirdly in an office far from my own and about 15 miles out of town.
I can drive but i don't see why i should be venturing away there when the guy i'm set to see could come to me.

I also didn't receive the letter till about 2pm and when i called the number no one answered :crazy:

If my own manager knows the reasons why i'm off and also that i have a sick note from the doc do i really need to go see some stranger about it? And travel far to do so?

Doing this now send u a letter then popping into work for interview , never heard about another office tho all ours are in our office :hmmmm :hmmmm :hmmmm

Maybe your Doctor thinks that a twisted ankle prevents you from working, their belief that your job is only to walk around the street. On the other hand your Manager is probably thinking that you may be capable of performing IPS, prepping bottom halves of walks, collating door to doors, segregating mis-sorts, doing kill's and a whole host of other things. Perhaps there is work such as that in the other unit and that's why the Manager there is assessing your capabilities!

You don't have to attend any interview, you've been signed off by a doctor and that's it. If you're happy for someone to come and see you at home then tell them that, but there's no obligation to attend work in any capacity whilst you're off sick.

I've never been harassed like that whilst off sick, and if I was I'd just say I'll keep them up to date via phone and see them when I get back.

I offered to work indoors last week when it happened but they're over staffed through injuries already haha.

Just phoned the guy I'm meant to meet to say I'm not attending. He didn't sound pleased
