Internal Job email alerts... Anyone ever had one?

I gave my details (email address) to the internal vacancies website to receive job alerts for an area I'm looking to move to in the near future.

The area I gave was within a radius of 20 miles of what will be my new postcode, this takes in at least 4 potential D.O.'s

I did this over 18 months ago but I've never received a single alert?

I find it a bit hard to believe that out of 4 D.O.'s there hasn't been a single vacancy/new starter in over 18 months?

Does this system work? Has anyone actually ever received an alert?

I have, you have if renew them every few months though, haven't you had a email asking you if you still require job alerts?

It appears to be a common problem, my suggestion is that you send an email to hrsc.iris.superusers@royalmail.com detailing your issue.

Thanks for the replies, no I've never had an email reminder asking if I still require alerts!

I will send an email to the link, it really does seem a crap recruitment site (surprise, surprise)... half the time I try to get on it I just get a frozen, blank screen at some point.

I also set up an email alert knowing a position was due to be advertised , I'm still awaiting the email but I did get the job so I suggest keep asking and checking don't rely on that service it seems unreliable

When I check internal vacancies-there's none.
But when I checked public vacancies-there was couple of them!
Why so?

Well I contacted the email address provided by Himaggen and in fairness they did get back to me and try to resolve the problem, but they only ended up making matters worse. They had to provide me with a new password so they could access my account but I'm now unable to access my account with the new password they gave me!

As others have said it really does seem worse than useless... when positions are being advertised to new recruits yet we don't even get internal vacancy alerts for them!

Looks like I'll be doing it the old fashioned way and actually visiting the D.O.'s and handing my transfer requests and details over in person.
