Am I right in thinking that the RM holiday year runs from 1 April to 31 March?

I started my employment in december. Should I use my holidays before april?
I have booked my holidays for august.
What happens with period from december till april?
Will it transfer to next tax/holiday year or will it be paid out or just dissapear?

On your Annual Leave Card 2014-2015 which shows the August holiday which you have booked look for any leave days brought forward from the previous leave year 2013-2014. It will be shown in the column "Carried Fwd". If this is marked "0", then no leave entitlement from 2013-2014 has been given to you (I take it you have had no holidays in this period). However if it is marked 6 or a similar number, this will be the number of days you were entitled to for 2013-2014 and in a column on the right marked "Adjusted Entitlement" will be the number of days leave you will get for 2014-2015 which will be this number (6 or a similar number) added on to your "Basic Entitlement" .You could still try to get the 2013-2014 leave entitlement in before April with your managers help..
