Pay Protection

Post by karmacoma »

HR are stating that they do not go back & re-assess pay protection claims following belated pay awards. In reality this means that anybody receiving pay protection since 1st April 2013 is being paid using their allowances without the 3% increase being applied. Does anybody know if this is correct?

this is a new one on me. If you have been displaced from your duty and level of allowances effected by business driven change then you are entitled to " pay protection up to a maximum of 36 months under the MTSF ( Managing the Surplus Framework) agreement 2010. If you had not been displaced then your original allowances would have been subjected to the 3% increase back dated to 1st April 2013 and unless someone posts different protection means your original allowances that have now been increased by 3% so fail to understand HR statement. If you go to Appendix 2 in MTSF it will give the scale on pay protection.
