50% less mail this week

Why there was hardly any mail this week ... we think at least 50% drop ... is it due to floods or half term ? we had daily 9 deliveries laps.

Our mail is well over the model week.............but then it's been over the model week since the revision :nervous

Ours has dropped noticeably - and we know where it has gone - TNT are now delivering a significant amount of mail that I recognise from our DSA mail. I see it in porches and whilst they are only delivering on alternate days - they are delivering a lot more than the odd item. Now that their staff have settled in they are a definite threat to us.

Ours is about the same as normal.
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

Half term for us.. mail is always low on those weeks, but packets are increasing.

It usually picks up about the 23rd due to monthly wage day, kids cost a lot at half term and also (unlucky for us) everyone is expecting council tax , water bills and energy bills. Everyone has been bombarded with holiday brochures and other ads early so there will be a lull in mail.
It will pick up by mid march due to spring sales , Easter etc.
But up to now it's been great mailwise, good wage rise and i've LOST MY LINO :nana :nana
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

Probably because Mon-Fri delivery would mean 1 in 6 staff losing their jobs. It would be great for those left (I can only dream of getting every weekend off) but not something the CWU is ever going to endorse - quite the opposite.

20 000 lost jobs at about £40 000 each.
That would be a massive financial undertaking. Can't see RM going for that one.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.
