I use the santander 123 account, online banking, money back on purchases and a decent interest rate to boot.
also have got their 123 credit card linked to same account for even more cash back on purchases.

Re: 1st class credit ?
I have an online 123 Santander current account. It costs £2 a month in fees but I earn much more than this in direct debit cashback - 1% on water rates and council tax,2%on gas and electricity,3%on mobile, home phone, broadband and tv.You have to fund it with £500 a month (I have my pay go into it) and I use it as a savings account as well.If you have between £3000 and £20000 in it,it pays 3% interest (a top rate) on the whole balance, between £2000 and £3000 you get 2%, and between £1000 and £2000 you get 1%.Having one account as a current account and a savings account is good because you don`t have to keep moving money from your current account to a separate savings account and you get interest as soon as your pay goes in.
