Door to door payments
Hi There,
Are the payments for door to doors pro-rata ?? I'm on a 28hr contract covering rota leave, yet I have to prep all my own leaflets and sometimes throw them in the frame depending on what my loop partner does so I was just wondering if I should get paid the same as a full timer as I'm doing exactly the same as them. more often than not my loop partner is full time aswell. Cheers Daz.

Re: Door to door payments
There are no D2D payments.
There is a Delivery Supplement which is based on your contracted hours.
Your overtime between your contracted hours and 39 hours includes an enhanced payment to cover the Delivery Supplement.
Ask yourself this: Do you still get paid the Delivery Supplement when you are on holiday and don't do any D2D?

Thanks, I see what you mean, and yes I do get the delivery supplement while I'm off.

Re: Door to door payments
This is causing me some annoyance at the minute, I'm a part-time reserve covering a guy who's on long term sick, it's pretty awesome doing the same walk every day and I'm loving knowing exactly when my days off are for the foreseeable future, however I'm doing just as much prep and delivering of d2d's as my walk partner who's a full timer and he gets an extra £10 in his wages each week! I spoke to my union rep about this and he agreed that he's never understood why d2d payments are pro rata. What's even more annoying is the guy who covers my duties day off never does his share of d2d's. He does an 8 hour shift so he does both walks, that's his reason for not doing his share! So he's getting paid to do them and he's not then I have to do the ones he's left but receive no extra money! And I agree we get paid for them while we're off on leave but everyone gets that. Doesn't seem right but the managers don't seem to want to rock the boat as they love the fact that one man covers 2 walks on our day off! I say if he's not gonna do both walks properly he should just stick to one!

don't fret over who gets what, you'll crack up, some get the delivery suppliant without even touching any households

Re: Door to door payments
If a p/timer was paid a full Delivery Supplement they would be on a higher hourly rate than a f/timer.coxybaby wrote: I spoke to my union rep about this and he agreed that he's never understood why d2d payments are pro rata.
How does a rep not understand that?
A p/timer who works overtime gets an enhanced overtime rate up to 39 hours to ensure they do get the full DS.
We are now on AGF 2014 and we are still discussing BT2010........

Right so the first review is 2019 and so that will mean that AFG will still be having the final i dotted and t crossed in 2023. That will certainly make it ground breaking in terms of the longest unfulfilled agreement - well unless BT 2010 is still going of course.clashcityrocker wrote:We are now on AGF 2014 and we are still discussing BT2010........

Have you forgotten flexibility from 2007 - they still can't fulfill their obligations on parts of that.

There is no extra payment for doing the d2ds they are part of your workload, there is no d2d payment and as such it is not pro ratacoxybaby wrote: however I'm doing just as much prep and delivering of d2d's as my walk partner who's a full timer and he gets an extra £10 in his wages each week! 1. You don't get paid separately for Door to Doors.Dazz71 wrote:Hi There,

2. I'm on a 30 hr contract and don't have to prep my Door to Doors, the person who preps my duty is meant to do it.
Ask your manager for a break-down, in writing, of what you are meant to do and when. You'll find out if you are meant to be doing them or not (probably not).

Depends on what has been agreed in the revision in that particular office.dblad wrote:You should be prepping your own duty on 30 hours, 25 hrs get it prepped for themNewPostieUK wrote:1. You don't get paid separately for Door to Doors.Dazz71 wrote:Hi There,

There is no national uniformity in revisions, local arrangements/agreements are central to revisions.

Re: Door to door payments
Depends on duty content. If its 5 hours 40 minutes delivery then there won't be any indoor time to prep any.dblad wrote:You should be prepping your own duty on 30 hours, 25 hrs get it prepped for themNewPostieUK wrote:1. You don't get paid separately for Door to Doors.Dazz71 wrote:Hi There,

Thats where it is getting more difficult to reply on such questions, with the withdrawal of the standard 3.5hr delivery there is no single answer. Eventually I suppose it may be theoretically possible that someone may be outside on a rural delivery for 7 hrs 20 mins and has everything prepped for them even though FT. I really don't want to see that though.
