I transferred but was told I would have to reduce my hours to 30 took the chance and since I moved I have worked 39,on a temporary full time contract. For what its worth the internal transfer process is a farce had to go to my DO of choice to make the move! Went on special leave until a vacancy came up so 2 months without pay but it was the summer

I'm looking at other vacancies around the country and was wondering how easy it was to transfer. Cheers

Best thing to do is see the manager,in the office you wish to transfer to.

I'm visiting an area that has a vacancy this week. Could I just pop in and ask to see the manager about the vacancy, or should I call first?

Actually, looking at this, I'm thinking it could be a very smooth transition. My current and first contract runs out in 2 weeks and the role I am looking at is permanent. I think i could easily move myself and start in 3 weeks if the other office were willing to take me.
