We have 2 in our office who have both passed retirement age.
And I know in Grantham, they have the longest serving postie, must be around 54 years with RM and way passed retirement age, but still going.

65+ in our office. Non-P&L section, though it's town centre delivering so not particularly taxing. There's a few over 60 still going.

Have a good look at the 20-something man/woman in your office on Monday morning, and know this for the fact it is becoming, they will have to, if they can, slog on until they're in their 70s before retiring.

There is a retirement age - you determine it yourself - I shall be retiring at 65 next summer after just under twenty years service. The last three years of Park and loop have taken more out of me than the previous years altogether, and my retirement date can't come soon enough. I love my job but it is not compatible with a normal life anymore and I dread to think what my younger colleagues will go through in years to come. No one will make it to retirement age doing a delivery duty if they are presently in their mid thirties or younger as the physical demands will be too much .... and RM know this !!!
