Park an Loop who drives

hi,,,been doing this p&l malarkey for 4-5 months now.

im a full time floater,,,my partner is a part time floater.

so we cover 5 duties in a week.

we both hold driving licenses,,,,i seem to just have taken on the driving since the start....my patner scraped a wall early on after the revision and shied away from driving so that's why.

lately I seem to be getting the dirty end of the stick,,,most loops we do are pretty equal...delivering the large parcels is left to me....so im getting a bit peeved.

am in my rights to ask him to drive (I did he shrugged his shoulders).....I need a break from the driving LOL

Out of the pairing one should be designated at the driver and one the walker - on the duty sheet/list of duties and duty holders

Why not take it in turns or when it suits you and him/her as you can do things when you need to it's about helping each other out not royalmail.

its all down to how well you get on with your plooper,
teamwork is the key, my oppo can't drive but he does his fair share, i may have the job of darting off to do the specials etc but he does the crap blocks of flats, he takes certain loops that are longer to allow me 5 mins spare for parcels, if i've none then he doesn't mind if i'm sat in van puffing on my e-cig

if you do not like driving tell dom he could change your duties or partner who wants to drive i am similar to you floating covering 5 walks i do not mind driving so it works fine,also as you are floater what happens if guys work there day off do u have 2 change or do they because in my office the floaters always change when regular guys work days off i believe this is wrong and i have ongoing argument at moment about this

Just do the loops, leave the packets until the end and do them between you.

If your partner doesn't want to do that, then tell him he'll have to take an extra part of a loop while you go and do them.

Same here and if I understand it correctly that's how all the revisions are planned.

just ask for the two duty 318s, and which ever one has the van checks on it is the driver :)

This is the norm for most pairing in my office. If you have to do the parcels it's only fair your partner does extra on the loops to balance out the time. Why should he get to put his feet up while you do the extra work!

Right yeah weve had the full revision,,,back in July
at 1st there wereslightly larger loops than others,,,ie for the driver to do parcels,,,,,after a lot of moaning from walk holders the planners equalised "were" possible all loops so now your both back at the van within a min or 2 of each other,,,,,this is why I was asking does the driver have to do the parcels.

we have 2 walks paired together,,,,the only choice at the repack was they made sure 1 of the pair could driver.....both me and my partner hold licenses and my partner does a lot of collections in an evening....this is why I wanted to swap round....suppose is more of a stubborn thing and getting a bit peeved at being trodden on
