Hypothetical Question.

I work in a large office that has long been since been through its Revision.

Of the few hundred Postmen/women that we have I would say there is only a handful (including myself) who use the mandatory LWT.

My question is,could I refuse to work with someone who will not use the correct equipment?

By 'will not' I mean throw their hands in the air & look at you as if you're from the planet Zog when they first find out you're working with them & that you use a trolley!

As I said,I do the job right & just get on with it,I have no real issues (at the moment) I'm just throwing the question out there.

Seeing at these are the rules that RM have implemented,surely it should be an issue if people aren't following correct procedure?

We all know WHY the managers turn a blind eye,I just wonder what they would do if the shoe was on the other foot & it was the person using the LWT/following RM's rules that kicked up a fuss for a change.

same in most offices seems as long as the mail is delivered some managers if not all will turn a blind eye to people not using trolleys and although its a conduct code offence its the posties themselves that will get the full blame some posties cant see the damage to duties this is doing

easier said than done i worked with this guy the other day for the 2nd time and he refuses to use lwt and expects me to then drive and deliver small parcels he can"t fit in his bag! he says he hates the trollies and always puts on back when i told him to use trolley to save time for us he looked at me in disbelief so every loop we finished we drove and did his parcels(i sit in van whilst he attempts delivery ) this is a complete waist of time!
