well i double prep two duties, one duty has double slots in all sections of the frame, the other has double slots in about half the frame. last week there was 4 sets of d2ds. and on the tuesday means 320 doors which equals 1280 d2ds to box in on one duty, and 240 doors which equals 960 d2ds to box in on the other. giving a grand total of 2240 d2ds to prep BEFORE a letter is even touched......we handed FIVE loops back.....happy chrimbo.

I refuse to commit over Christmas to completing EVERY day. They can stick the SA payment. If its a reasonable day I may go bit over and claim. But I want to know that if its a bad day and hammering it with rain* I can say 'no thanks' and its not my problem. My time and health are far more important than the £'s.

*or if I just want to give the management a headache!

the rep and exmanager says the iwt gives time for d2d. obviously these figures are way out, especially when you have days (tuesdays) when there is more d2ds than ''proper'' mail. its being gone over with a fine tooth comb now and we are awaiting the outcome. we,ve just got a new dom who is an ex-postie who knows his stuff, and is punching holes in this iwt crap left right and centre. its a million miles away from our last gaffer who was a whizz kid (their words) with figures and a right barstool to boot. it would seem the rep was taken in and weedled and cajoled by the scumbag that we had. i have to say this is the first decent manager we,ve had in a very long time. he,s a canny bloke.

I think in offices where there are piles of D2D dumped in the corner every week, the managers decided the agreement was already being broken by the staff who were clearly managing their D2D in a manner outside of any national agreement, and imposed their own version of the agreement.
