Re: Scheduled Attendance
Because SA is like an additional contract that you agree to and arranging for someone to cover it is part of what you agree in return for the higher SA payments, and of course you get paid "leave with SA" in the form of SA Bonus payments each May and August.RetroJunkie wrote:Why can you never have any leave with SA? only way out if someone will cover it appears?

But also in the contract I believe it states, you have to be employed more than 30 hrs to receive the higher SA?Lounge Lizard wrote:Because SA is like an additional contract that you agree to and arranging for someone to cover it is part of what you agree in return for the higher SA payments, and of course you get paid "leave with SA" in the form of SA Bonus payments each May and August.RetroJunkie wrote:Why can you never have any leave with SA? only way out if someone will cover it appears?

Re: Scheduled Attendance
You will be covered for your annual leave by your manager. You only have to cover it if a rotational day off coincides with it or if you just don't fancy doing it. As for stopping you only need to give 1 months written notice that you no longer wish to perform said OT

Re: Scheduled Attendance
You just need to give them sufficient notice to hand back the SA for that day - see the Way Forward Agreement:RetroJunkie wrote:Why can you never have any leave with SA? only way out if someone will cover it appears?
17.11 Where an individual is unable to attend for Scheduled Attendance the Resourcing Unit must be advised, giving at least 24 hours' notice, together with the reasons for non-attendance. The Resourcing Unit will then re-allocate the SA to the nominated substitute. Where this is not possible, the attendance will be treated as an unforeseen absence and covered with ad-hoc overtime or lapsed.

But is the need to be employed for more than 30 hours to receive the higher SA in the Way Forward agreement, elsewhere or not so ?RetroJunkie wrote:But also in the contract I believe it states, you have to be employed more than 30 hrs to receive the higher SA?Lounge Lizard wrote:Because SA is like an additional contract that you agree to and arranging for someone to cover it is part of what you agree in return for the higher SA payments, and of course you get paid "leave with SA" in the form of SA Bonus payments each May and August.RetroJunkie wrote:Why can you never have any leave with SA? only way out if someone will cover it appears?
