i was off sick couple weeks ago and now off sick again this week due to problems at home, im in a low position right not and dont feel like doing nething, im thinking of going to work monday but dont really want, wud i have to go to the doctors to get a note

Going by his previous posts concerning his sick record I think his manager won't be that sympathetic unfortunately, but I would definitely go to doctors and speak to them

I would go and see a doctor considering your pretty poor sick record history your dom might see it as an opening if he wants to try and get rid of you, so a letter from doctor is my advice

You can self certificate up to 7 days so as long as your not over that in a single absence you don't need to see a doctor but as your feeling low at the moment I think it would be a good idea to see your GP.

if i triggered stage one, bbut got a doctor note for a say for a week off wud it still be a stage one,

on top of you asking here and your manager when you clear stage warnings, its not great, and gives the appearance of you trying to play the system why i am recommending a doctors fit line rather than self certifying as if your feeling down its better to see the doctor who will try to help you find a solution rather than being off now for a few days then maybe again in a few weeks which could get you into more trouble

If that's your sick record I reckon you it does give the impression you play the system. I would not be surprised if your soon to be on a stage 2. Doctors will make it look a lot better but in our office a 1 or 2 stage would be issued if it's triggered.

Sounds like depression/stress to me definatly go to the doctor A) for a sick note, and B) because he/she might be able to help

Going back to work after sick leave or holiday is one of the hardest things, but after a couple of days you get back into the swing of things, it's never as bad as it seems.

im going to ring my doctors tomorrow and see what they say, i dont play the system, each time im off it is genuine, i jus am at a low point in my life rite now and have go no motivation for anything, all my stages have cleared so im not on a stage, however if i went back on monday i have a feel i will be issused with a stage one. but i dont feel ready for work at the moment so was jus wondering what step to take next. im not a bad employee and use the system to go sick.

obvs im over the 4 absences or 14 days
so what happens now? Stage 1?
