Seeing that we have not seen a manager in two years, apart from the odd stand in popping their heads in when delivering sweeper mail, it seems like we do. Not complaining though because the last manager we had was totally crap and a bullying bstrd.

Having managers, and working as directed, can mean you end up doing less than if you were able to decide for yourself. You are also less accountable and don't have to defend your decisions. Downside is bullying management style, but this is ultimately counterproductive and in our favour, resulting in; collective bargaining, higher pay, xmas bonus, shorter working week, 6 weeks holiday, pension, sick pay, free shares.

I reckon it will work better than Royal Mail system but downside it is difficult to organise 100,000+ employees than 400 employees from Valve (assuming it is correct)
