About 8 weeks ago I got a shiny new 13 plate Vauxhall Vivaro. It's already had two doors opened onto it while parked in the DO yard and someone else drove it sideways through a bush. So much for looking after it!

I have an 09 combo with 127,000 on the clock and its really starting to look and feel shagged out.We also have an 06 combo with 182,000 miles on the clock and to be honest its cruel and barbaric to keep prolonging the life of it.The poor thing should have been euthanised 30,000 miles ago.We are reliably informed that up in the highlands they have vehicles with many more miles under their belt than ours but they look after them better than us.

I drove a 57 plate Convey bus today with 63k on the clock. The state it was in I reckon it had been round the clock at least twice and off a cliff at least once

Our 59 plate combos have next to no mileage, mine has only done 7500 and the highest I've seen in our office is on 16,000.

My van is knackered, the steering wheel is peeling, the clutch is slipping like f**k, the windows don't wind down, there are rattles that I can't pinpoint and yet it's still one of the better vans in the office.

Although if people treated their vans better then they would be a lot better (my last van I had from just over a year and was nearly as good as when I got it).

I really don't understand why people don't take care of their vans more. I use the same van everyday and it's spotless inside and out, it's not hard to keep them tidy ffs. We had one of the managers go round and check all the vans recently taking pictures of any dirty ones. The worst one was full of pasty wrappers and had over a hundred cans of red bull behind the seats, the lazy fat tosser that used it every day got given a bin bag and ordered to clean it much to the amusement of the office.
