Royal Mail announces changes to Morley postal deliveries

The time the post arrives through the letterbox of Morley households is set to change with a new delivery schedule and route.

Royal Mail is phasing in the new delivery methods and routes over the next few weeks as part of its modernisation and making the service more efficient.

The delivery network said it was making changes in Morley to maintain services and to keep their prices as low as possible.

Royal Mail Delivery Director Gary Milne said: “We are proud of the high regard in which our postmen and women are held in Morley. The changes to delivery routes will mean that a member of our local and experienced team will still be delivering to our customers in Morley.”

Royal Mail will continue to deliver in the morning and for a longer period during the day. Many customers will continue to get their mail by lunchtime.

The time customers receive mail will depend on where they live on the new delivery route. This may be later or possibly earlier than current delivery times.

When mail volumes vary, Royal Mail may adjust delivery arrangements and times.

Royal Mail are writing letters to everyone in the LS27 postcode area to notify them of the changes. If customers have any queries after they have received a letter, they can call the Customer Services Team on 0845 601 1399.
