Hi all

Looks as though am going to be fortunate to be offered a 24 hour p/w delivery person role at RM. This is great news but I have concerns. Not knowing the role I have each shift doesnt concern me. But I do have a concern round:

The role will be on a 6 month contract and is part time. If I have other commitments, or indeed just want to keep the 3 day week - will a perceived lack of flexibility be frowned upon and affect contract renewal?

Thanks in advance for any constructive advice and experience to you established post people.

If you have a fixed time and days worked contract all I would do is the hours and days it says and you agreed too . If on the other hand it says you need to be flexible then you will have to think more about your decision. Hope this helps and yes I would join as had a great time working for this company

Once bitten,twice...........probably bitten again. Still like the hours and fresh air,just the uncertainty that always seems to hang over this job these days. :sad:

You have a 6 month contract now so savour it. I had an initial 6 month contract, then 2 - 3 month contracts, then a 6 week contract, then some 2 month ones and the latest is a one month contract ending on 29th Sept :crazy: Suppose it keeps people in work churning out these "new" contracts.

Would love to if given chance ,thing is i would be looking for another job and a probable custodial sentance for punching the crap out of the four corrupt lying T**** that cost me my career and nearly everything else RM Managers lower than a snakes belly :evil/mad

Awkward question.
Depends what other sh*t jobs were available.(which most are now)
But, if I only had a few months in, I wouldn't give a sh*t and put an arrogant manager(most are) against the wall. Nothing to lose.
Always be one step ahead, play their game but be wiser. Revenge is sweet.
