What is the point of P/T starting at 8am

P/T in our office have been told to come in now at 8am instead of 6.15am
Their rounds were supposed to be thrown off for them by F/T but because there are very few now throwing off IPS it wasn't happening.
Now the DOM is paying his favourite F/T staff to come in early for O/T to throw off the rounds.
Where are the savings there then

Why were part timers in at 6.15 if not on OT. Surely they aint part timers then.

And why are FT paid to come early. Aren't FT the ones who should be in early ALWAYS?

Nope, more likely, is that the part timers in his office used to work three or four-day weeks, but are now working five-day weeks, as has happened in our office. Our DoM calls it 'indoor lapsing'.

or maybe he means 3 days a week part timers, i'm a part timer on 3 days a week but do the same hours as a full timer on the days i'm there

Our P/T staff had always come in at 6.15am the same as the F/T as used to be on 32 hour 4 day contracts.
When P/L started the pairs had to start at the same time so P/T and F/T started at the same time of 6.15am

Honestly never knew there were part timers who done the exact same job as full timers just one day less.

Our part-timers start at 7.30 Monday - Friday, their meant to have their first lot of sequenced thrown off for them Wed - Fri if
a.) someone remembers
b.) there's someone spare to do it

or it goes to the other extreme of it all being prepped for them, when the full timers are way behind :-(

I sometimes wish I was part-time, lol
