so my manager informed me today ,, i had all my mail in ,all my D2D in ,,all my redirections done ,, the only thing i had left was tying up ,, so i nipped across the road to get a sandwich ,, on my return was told i have to do all my prep and tie up before i can go across the road and get a sandwich ,apparently when i leave the office its the start of my meal relief ,, we are a small office and don't have food facilities
i mean WTF!!!!!

Good question. I suggest the OP asks that of their manager, especially if they smoke.
My own manager goes for a fag break 2 or 3 times an hour, then moans at me if I'm so much as 1 minute late for anything.

We are the same, but we always tell the line manager where we are going - for one its a H&S issue. If there is a fire, and you've popped out to do something, the lineo has to account for you and can't. That could put a Fireman in danger over a sandwich.
