Reference from H.R. department

Hi all. I am attempting to set up a new assured shorthold tenancy through a letting agency.
The agency require a reference from my employer.
My line manager organised a reference to be sent to my home address which I have given to the agency.
On their part they have written to the company seeking a reference.
Even though HR are aware of my need for a reference via a signed fax giving the company permission to speak to the agent
they have not dealt with the situation.
Does anyone know who I need to speak too to sort this simple matter out as I am in danger of losing the flat.

Did you give the letting agent the address of your DO or HR in sheffield?

My DOM said he is not allowed to action a reference request.
Apparently there is a specific department.
As usual this is secret and not contactable.
Anyone know the required phone or email details ?

I just rang HR number on payslip had my reference in 48 hours
