Grrrr Holidays being altered

Well this has happened to a few people in our office now, gets to the date of the booked time off and the manager calls to say we dont have it booked off, so we check our records and its right but low and behold the system says otherwise and has clearly been changed.. im supposed to be off this week not even listed on the job sheet but I get a call telling me to come in desperately trying to find my holiday sheet but to no avail, but others have taken theirs in and still been told no.. Shocking tbh

Tell him to feck off. Get in touch with your Union Rep and lodge a formal complaint.

Tell him to get lost your off and that's it, what would happen if you were away somewhere??
They need to get things like this sorted as it only causes more resentment and doesn't help morale
He obviously has either forgotten or didn't check and has no one to cover, his problem not yours

Managers, are allowed to cancel holidays but they must give you the same notice before the break, as the leave itself is.

That means for a weeks break they MUST give you 1 weeks notice - they cannot cancel next weeks leave, during this week, they must have informed you by the end of the previous week.

An employer can refuse a leave request but they must give as much notice as the amount of leave requested, eg 2 weeks notice if the leave requested was 2 weeks.

Once they have agreed the leave they can't just cancel it with a couple of weeks notice.
If you've booked and paid for a fortnight in Marbella, a manager can't tell you a month before you are due to go that he's cancelled your holiday.

And if your leave isn't on the system for the weeks you think it is, where are they?

We sign a sheet on the week that we have booked and this cannot be changed.
Sometimes it gets missed off being put on the computer but signing your holiday in the bible means they cant change it .

They can refuse a new application but they cannot just simply cancel booked leave, even with notice. Since we are all lapsing like crazy though, this shouldn't even be a problem!

they cannot cancel leave period. as long as you have it printed off and signed they cant touch you - tried to do it to me at xmas even with a months notice but couldnt.

I had something similar , in the respect that I happened to check a couple of days before a two week break that it was booked.

Funnily enough ; not on the system. I just said would not be in as was on hols. Worked for me.

Lad in my office did the same. They said they'd cancelled his leave, he told them he had a 3 week foreign holiday booked. End of. Do they think we spend our time off at home waiting to return to work?

They've done it again, told me I have no time off in November, but a week in October, but I have the sheet print off showing November booked, where do I stand? My colleagues think theyll say I must have changed it but I havent and does the system log who changed it as I know at least three people have access., thanks for reading x
