Holiday Entitlement 20hour Contract

Could someone explain to me what holidays permanant 20 hour contracts are entitled to per year? Is there a set amount of days per year or do you build them up monthly? And when do they need to be used up? Cant get an answer from anyone in the depot lol

Although you accrue holidays throughout the year you will normally be allocated and given the opportunity to pick them before that holiday year begins.

The number of days you are allocated will depend on the number of attendances per week.
A standard 5 day week will be allocated 22.5 days on entry rising to 23.5 after 5 years service,26 after 15 years and 30 after 20 years.

They should be used during the holiday year (April-April) but up to 5 can be carried over,more if due to long term sick absence.

The PSP system calculates holiday entitlement in hours but because most managers are scared of new fangled technology most of them ignore it.

you are allowed 4 weeks holiday and 2.5 spare days if you start off new recruit
