20kg Parcels

We had one arrive in our office today, it was for a rural van delivery walk, the walk is done by one of the girls in the office, she refused to take it because she couldn't lift it on her own, and said she would card it for the customer to collect. The DIM objected to this and said it had to go out, then if at the delivery she still felt she couldn't carry she should ask the customer to help, the Postie said she's 75 and lives on her own, she's less capable of carrying it than I am !

The DIM just walked away.

Anyone know the official line on delivering these 20kg parcels, we seem to think that PF have sack trucks to wheel them around on.

Both 1c and 2c go upto 20Kg in weight now

That may be, but we are still limited to 11kg max, and in actual fact, you don't have to lift that on your own if you're not comfortable doing so. It's a two person job, and if the boss won't spare someone, I would have refused too. The postie in question would soon be conducted if injured in delivering the parcel.

Same old RM, bang on about do's and don'ts, H&S etc., then insist you just get on with it no matter what, then lay the blame on you when it goes wrong.

It's something they can't do, that's why they always do as they're told by their boss.
It is funny when you see the look on their face as their little brains start to burn out. It's like they're constipated. Which would be appropriate as they're full of s**t.
