PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW DELIVERY REVISIONS ARE REALLY DUE TO PEOPLE WHO HAVE NEVER DONE A WALK BEING PUT IN CHARGE OF THESE REVISIONS, IF WE ARE TO DO THE JOB PROPERLY, THEN WE HAVE TO FOLLOW SAFE SYSTEMS OF WORK, THAT ENSUES WITH THESE DELIVERY REVISIONS, THAT BEING, YOU DO NOT WALK AND FLICK THROUGH YOU BUNDLE, BUT DO THAT, ONCE STOPPED AT THE NEXT ADDRESS, YOU USE ALL THE TOOLS FOR THE JOB, IE, LWT, HCT CDVS, INCLUDING DELIVERY TO NEIGHBOURS, AND WHAT DOES ALL THIS TELL US POSTIES WITH YEARS OF EXPEIRENCE OF DOING THE JOB, THAT ALL OF THE ABOVE WILL TAKE A LOT LONGER TO DO, SO WHY ON EARTH, HAVE OFFICES UP AND DOWN THE COUNTRY BEEN STRIPPED OF HUNDREDS OF HOURS, INSTEAD OF MORE HOURS BEING PUT BACK INTO THESE OFFICES, TWO WORDS.... POOR MANGEMENT!!!

Bottom line is that RM neither have the time or the will to undertake a proper revision program in deliveries.

Think about it ... if the planning process were to be done correctly then it would take a long time and would probably involve recruitment/training costs for the planners and release time. At the end of such a process by following SSOW, working at an achievable 75Bs, using correct Tools for the Job, taking RA and Meal Breaks and working scheduled hours the savings that RM wants simply wouldn't be there.

That's where we are ... and I can't see things changing. The management are too entrenched and so long as it's not them on the wrong end of B&H most of them really don't care less. I read the parts of the Ofcom report where TNT were questioning the remuneration of RM postal worker, if anything needs to be questioned it's the over inflated salaries of some senior managers which bear no relation to those being paid outside.

No actually some of these so called planners have done deliveries but they are the laziest postmen/women out there.
Ours was notorious, 10 or more years ago for crying up how hard he had it when rounds were usually ok to complete.
He should never have been involved in our revision--basically because he thought he knew the area----yea a long time ago!!!

As for doing the job properly, how long has H/Q been telling people and campaigning for this???
Members are their own worst enemy, but moan like hell about H/Q and the union who actually, they are??
Poor management--yes--only because they are brainwashed robots willing to do the bidding of an evil regime.(And all of them are knobheads)

Now revision is in and have to do a real job they are complaining. Now come on guys you know that this situation in staff does take place. Im not saying all staff but guys u know that it does. Id rather do my job get back to office and help out.

nice to see you are finding it easy, perhaps you could suggest to your manager that you could do both the P&L's on your own, thus freeing up your P&L partner to perhaps go around doing other duties like all the tracked, specials, parcels ? the manager would be pleased with you.
