Listened to that Canadian telling us, how our government, a government that regularly takes it's place in G7 summits, gatherings of the 7 wealthiest nations on earth, a government belonging to something like the 4th wealthiest nation on earth, cannot afford to stump up enough cash to provide even a half decent postal service for it's people.
But hey, there could be a private investor out there somewhere, who can, and will. Oh, and it's the only way to guarantee the USO.

What the Canadian didn't explain, was what would be the motive of this mysterious benefactor, willing to lose money hand-over-fist securing the USO?

I came away knowing I had been lied to, AGAIN.

In a previous life, in Manufacturing, we used to have our equivalent of the WTL sessions. I used to sit with an Old Timer who just used to read his paper throughout and give no input. I'd say "That's a good Idea" or "Why don't we give that a try"? And he'd just sit there and read his paper. I thought he was an awkward old bastard that couldn't be bothered to try anything new.

When I asked him why he wasn't interested in anything that was being suggested to improve things he said, "Listen Young Un..if the Management want it...it's no good for us workers"! I learned a lot from that Old Guy.........now I just sit there and read the paper! f**k Em they're all assholes!
