Moving from office to office in your own car.
Hi Guys my mate in a Preston delivery office is getting moved to Longridge, Bamber bridge and Garstang offices in the past few weeks and he is only on a rolling 3 months 24 hr contract what allowances should he be getting for travelling in his own car does anyone know? Managers come up with different rates and he is a bit sceptical about what he should be getting but doesn’t like asking the bosses can anyone give me a idea what he should be getting like how much per mile or the rate? he is on the move again on Monday..

He should be gettting 45p per mile he travels.
What he should be claiming for is the miles he has travelled minus the miles he would have travelled to his home office for example if his usual comute to work is a 10miles round trip but they are sending him to one which is 25 miles he is entitled to 15 miles expenses. Unless he is going into his home office first thing in the morning before being sent elsewhere in which case he is entitled to the round trip from his home office to wherever he is getting sent.
