Frame......new labels

Anyone elses office got the new labelling thats appearing. Paw prints for dogs, a picture of a clock for people who take their time coming to the door, a picture of a door with a question mark for doors/letterboxes in odd places. Loop times ie 35 mins printed below the loop number?

You get a little booklet with all the addresses in apparently, like what we use to keep the sign for cards in. I think the WCM lot are trying to keep themselves in a job.

The council estates I deliver to would be a waste of time having a booklet, it would need updating once a month due to evictions and a transient population.
Some people dont speak English, some are doped up , some are asleep till lunchtime
What symbols would you use for them I wonder

I for one do not like the look of that one. Who said the loop takes 35mins for example? Did they filter mail while standing still outside the previous letterbox, or were they filtering on the move (saving time and breaking H&S rules)? What was the call rate which created that figure? How many individual pieces of mail (including D2D) were in that loop? How many attendence packets?

This loop time sticker will be used as "performance issue" amunition by managers, without looking at the individual day's mail for that loop, very dangerous introduction IMO and should be stopped right now by the CWU.

That is my concern, times taken from Georoute apparently. Another stick to beat us with.

Personally I think its quite a good idea especially when you do different walks everyday.
We have the dog stickers and i just put a mark on the letter for that house.( I know a dog can be in any other house aswell )
If i get told about an odd delivery point or a "leave with neighbour" regular, i mark it up.

Not so sure about the timing issue tho, as has been said already - who does the timing

its absolute bullshit, do they think that an individual loop take the same amount of time every day of the week and each week .
The loop takes as long as it takes FULL STOP

We have a new 24 year old area manager / number cruncher who has just started and wanted more hours taken out .
She didnt have a clue and I expect she will be gone in 6 months
