annoying paper boy/man

Hi anyone else have to finish their jobs for them?

Im constantly having to push their paper right through before I can put the customers mail through.
It really gets on my nerves, why csnt they just push them right through?

If I see him/her im going to have to say something.

I've been doing a walk this week that has about 12 houses (out of 600 , but it still peeves me off) that put stuff into the letter box, to act as a draught excluder, really annoys me.

I just pull them out and throw them on floor. Told sum guy once stop leavin them hangin out just looked at me think he was polish

its not our job to push other peoples deliveries through the letterbox.

Agree this is a total pain in the arse and happens a lot! Grrr, being a postman is so annoying! Haha

A simple match or a lighter...hey presto no more paper...although you do run the risk of being done for murder but it's a small price to pay for the extra 30 secs it takes to push it through the letterbox.

Seeing as we're not not to leave mail hanging out of the letterbox in case of theft and also to prevent it looking like the person isn't home, I used to get rather p*ssed off with the newspaper deliverer leaving the newspaper hanging out. You could always make a complaint yourself, pretending to be someone who lives on that street and say that all the neighbours are complaining that it lets burglars know who's away on holiday etc...

Whoever delivers takeaway menus around here just leave them clipped under the outer flap of the letter box. They don't even attempt to push it through. I come along and lift it up and they fall on the doorstep. That's where they remain.

and they will come round to see you probably knowing them

I think this is because leafletting and delivering aren't the same thing.
It requires a different licence.

A family member was delivering leaflets in America, was stopped by the local police and told its illegal to to put things through people's letterbox, box in garden or on street, these are for use by the USPS only. This should be the same over here .
