does this still apply
can one finish early and then go home
mgmt encourage this at our office
2 in a van but only 1 returns to office with all the 739s pdas the trolly everything but the walking man gets dropped off home
whats the proper procedure on this
can mgmt encourage and apply job and finish for some staff and not others
doms answer was "tough"

They want you to go home early on light days so on heavy days they can say you went home an hour and a half early tuesday so i expect you
to complete and not book on eg thursday, that is the ideal scenario for them "Happens a lot actually" I dont believe its a trade unions job to protect
peoples spare time within their duty time especially when jobs are scarce. It plays into the hands of savings motivated managers and dare I say it profit
mongering external firms. Wanting to go home early, be careful what you wish for!!

They cannot make you work back hours from so called light days ,,,,no such agreement. Grrrrrrr

job&finish ended at the start of p&l but some still want it always, the days of getting paid and not working the hours have long gone. welcome to the real world outside rm. our office still rushing around finishing early so management jusk keep lapseing more walks to make you stay out longer to work your hours. yet still the idiots still rush around to make time. but they just come back with more lapseing walks. falling into their hands

If the driver has to go off route in order to drop his colleague off, he is going to find himself in deep s**t if he has an accident.
Has the DOM put this agreed arrangement in writing to cover everyone's back?

Surely van share or park and loop is a TWO man/woman job, TWO people should return to the office to sort out returns etc. Why should one person get their feet up earlier than the other every day.

The whole van share thing just doesnt work IMO. Our walks are now too big to complete on time so a lot of people come in early to finish on time yet dont claim which obviously the manager loves. What doesnt go down well is when im covering on float and i wont come in early or work over for free, in fact i dont work over at all yet every day they ask if i will.

Yes job and knock still exists post P&L if you can manage it.

You do not need to go back and sign out.
