Hi, I have checked threads, can't see one on this topic.
If new recruit applies for job, so many hours and 3 month tempory contract.
Question. Is this a 3 month contract and the new recruit is gone or is it a 3 month trial. If new recruit any good are they are issued with a permanent contract.

Your 3 month contract will possibly turn into another 3 month contract

There is no definitive answer to your question.
It depends on the state of revision activity in your office.
It is unlikely the fixed-term contract will be made permanent before a revision establishes the staffing needs for the office.
That said, there is a tacit agreement not to extend the use of fixed-term contracts over a year, but that isn't always the case.
The more vacancies there are in your office the better your chance of getting a permanent contract, unless you are really rubbish at the job.

I am working on 3 months contrat since 11/2010 and my contract is 20 hours but every week I worked 34+.

Is there any light at end of tunnel for you temp workers ever getting a permanent contract or not with current climate and privatisation.

I haven't got a clue, they would be more inclined to keep people on temporary so that if the time comes they can just not renew the contract, saving a pay off!
