can anyone tell me what a "split duty" is ? My lino has just txtd me to tell me im on one next week, i texted back asking what one was and he hasnt replied, although he normally does...... sounds dodgy to me.

we used to have split shift 5 to 10 am then 4 to 6 pm

They used to attract an allowance subject to the lengh of the split.

after pestering the lino in question i found out that his idea of a split duty is...... one duty monday (closed Tuesday) then the same duty wednesday then another duty the rest of the week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do what I call a "split duty" - half out of one SPDO and half out of another - tie up the one half and t'other half is tied up and put into pouch boxes (OK sheds !) for me to pick up ... finish at second SPDO then wander back to first SPDO with undeliverables (giving peeps a "second chance" on the way) ...
