hi folks worked xmas eve morning,even though i felt terrible,flu symptoms hot cold acheing etc,im even worse now today and tomorrow i will just be laid near the radiator trying to get better, even my two kids have it now a complete disaster of an xmas for us.it is my long weekend this week the only days i am supposed to be working are thursday & friday,if i have these two days off on the sick will it affect my £100 xmas bonus i have been paid will they claw some of that bonus money back with the possibility of me being off sick over the xmas period,hope no one else has had this it knocks you for six,aint even had an alcoholic drink yet,merry xmas all.

Yes but they may claw that back in your following weeks wages

The christmas 2012 agreement states the bonus will be paid whatever. Being off sick does not affect it.

Obscurity has it correct. You only lose the Xmas bonus if you are not being paid either through striking (3% official 10% unofficial per day) and sick only if on half or no pay. If you are on sick but being paid then you still get the bonus.

What on earth possessed you to go in Xmas eve? Surely, it wasn't fear of losing the xmas bonus, was it?

So you went to work with 'the flu' and thought it was a good idea to spread it around - maybe amongst colleagues on a stage2? All to save a few quid bonus? Just thought I would confirm that.

Old thread I know, its the only one I could find that mentions Flu Jabs.

My DOM has been through everyones sick records and anyone who has been off with Flu has been offered a Flu Jab paid for by RM. Any of you lot been offered it?
