Quick question do you stand or sit while sorting flats at the flat fitting?

I sit when sorting flats or letters. We have the new super duper backless frames. When you are sitting and have a bench full of mail the bottom slots are covered and the top ones are out of reach. It doesn't half slow you down.

I can't find it but I am sure Fishtank posted some WCM crap about how much space was needed for the porter to be able to pass a tray of mail to the seated sorter.
If it is in the WCM stuff, it must be correct.
