I suffered an injury today that means it is going to be very difficult, if not impossible to walk effectively in order to do a round and particularly ride a bike tomorrow.

Should I make myself available for sorting or other duties, or take the day off?

Anyway,if you can make it in go in,you may get away with it.
If it's bad though,may need a good rest.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Yes, AOD. I just wondered whether if I was not able to do my round, whether it was better to go sick?

Depends how bad is your sick record can you get in work do you feel like working and can you put up with royal mails constant bombardment of your phone!.
