What happens if your day off falls on Xmas day?

You will get it added to your next years annual leave but best to note the days owing as sometimes management can conveniently forget

it was just "tough s**t" in the do i worked in at easter (my day off fell on the bh monday), and apparently it was the same at christmas…

You can also get paid it at overtimes SA rate. Obviously you lose the day back.

Interesting scenario time...

What if you're a part-timer working three days from four rotating through Thur,Fri,Sat and Mon?
Are Tuesday and Wednesday your days off or are they "non-working" days?

In scenario A if they are considered to be your days off then you would be due them both back but...that would mean paying you for five days that week when you normally work three.

In scenario B if they are considered to be "non-working" days then you wouldn't get them back but when Christmas falls on a 5 day week "non-working" day(Sunday) there is always a substitute Bank Holiday...Tuesday.
