DOM's favourites

The Christmas list was posted for van duties on docket , night sorting, early sorting , sunday van drivers for parcels etc.
Major rumpus today because the DOM has given all his favourites all the O/T so far but others dont get a look in .
DOM says that he gives his what he calls "super sorters" preference but surely that isn't right or fair on people that havent been their as long who are not slow and up to speed but not as fast as the ones who have been here longer.
Does this go on in other delivery offices?

Same in my office, DOM handpicks her favourites for Christmas duties. She does the same thing during the year as well , we have not had a re-sign since our revision 2 years ago so she puts her favourites on the cushy numbers and sticks the people she does not like on the crap duties and gets her managers to bully them because they can't complete the duties

I personally love this type of thing when it happens to me. I don't give two sh***s about finishing before my time so a long duty doesn't bother me, it's just a bigger cut-off. And I know for a fact that I know the rules and protocol better than 99% of managers so their bullying attempts don't hold much weight either.

Our Xmas night turns were dished out to the DOM's faves this year - same old, same old. He's already sorted his mates out on cushy indoor jobs with no Saturdays the rest of the year so Xmas was never gonna be split out fairly.
