... talking to a CityLink driver this afternoon whilst out on walk ... he was well hacked off - his words;

"40 fails so far today - and they expect us to try leaving stuff with neighbours ?? B*ll*x to that - they can come and bloody fetch 'em !"

A driver of another such company I was talking to recently, he was well hacked off, many fails that day, not meant to take them back and not paid until they're delivered.

I did a brief stint with City Link before getting the job at RM, it was horrendous 14 hour days were normal, glad I work for RM now!!!

Saw exactly that today. I also see some courier-delivered items sitting at the door despite the fact that someone is in (because if they'd been out they'd have taken the parcel off their doorstep on the way in).

Yes, City Link and Hermes are bad, but Royal Mail are lowering to their standards, delivery to neighbour being just the start.

i saw one courier in a private van leave a huge amazon parcel on a doorstep today, hope there is no thieves about.

Sometimes i have seen parcels left on doorsteps and tried to figure out by the label who delivered it ? 9 times out of 10 Joe Public think it is us ! So we get the blame ?

Saw a big box lying at the door of an unoccupied bottom floor flat recently,there was a note from Yodel sticking out of the letterbox. I took a peek out of.......well,nosiness really. It said.......Parcel left as there is a secure entry system in place at front door.
Good job mate but this is Gardens and the parcel is addressed to Terrace!

in a former occupation, i worked for a local paper, responsible for the typesetting thereof. we used to send the artwork via courier (city link) over from alderley edge (cheshire) to the printer in horncastle (lincolnshire).

one monday i arrived at work to find the artwork delivered back to us, instead of the printers. someone clearly thought the artwork had been brought from lincolnshire to manchester, for them to deliver it 20 miles down the road
