Two postmen in the same office.
Postman "A" doesn't work overtime, cuts off.
Postman "B" does work overtime, completes his delivery.
Neither meets his get out time according to IWT (yeah, I know it's an office guide, not an individual guide, but try telling DIM that).
Who do you think gets bullied, harassed, threatened and intimidated?
Postman "A" is slow, inefficient, lazy etc but Postman "B" isn't accused of fraud.

Its up to Postman A if he wants to work overtime and maybe he cuts off for a reason.
Postman B might want the overtime and the money.
None should get bullied so what are you saying exactly?

I'm saying if both posties leave the office at the same time, why should one be harassed for finishing on his time, while the other gets paid overtime if they are BOTH "inefficient"?

One finishing on time should ask his DOM for a grievance form it will stop once he asks for that.

So both working at the same pace, both take home the same money, but 'A' goes home an hour or two earlier than 'B'.
- and I'm sure that's not a rare occurance, and of course it's 'B' who needs to ask for a grievence form.

The exact situation you are talking about happened to me and I did take it to grievance. Took 1 year to exhaust all parts of the procedure due to purposeful management delays. Eventual result at appeal was a very tame agreement that I had been treated unfairly. The recommendations made by the appeals manager have been totally ignored by DSM who was the main party in delaying the grievance procedure. They do not care a jacksh.t because they know they will be protected to the bitter end by their superiors who are totally involved in denying our members a fair and unbiased hearing, and ensuring that the procedures are not carried out within the time spans laid down in our terms and conditions of employment, causing undue stress and irritation to the individual in the hope that they will go away. The one crumb of satisfaction I have is that I have those few little words in writing stating this part of the grievance is upheld.
